Practice information
Privacy Policy
1. Scope of this policy
This draft describes how Turning Point Counseling & Wellness handles information submitted through socialworksolutions.org. It addresses the public website, not the full rules governing clinical records or information collected through the separate SimplePractice client portal. It is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.
2. Information you provide
Contact and service-request forms collect information such as your name, email address, optional phone number, preferred contact method, selected service, and other non-clinical details you choose to provide. Submissions are saved and emailed to the practice at stevistanley@gmail.com so the practice can respond.
Evaluation checkout also collects contact details and the selected evaluation. When payment is confirmed, the website records the transaction identifier, evaluation, amount, currency, payment status, and related contact details. Stripe processes card payments; the website’s payment records do not contain full card numbers or card security codes.
Do not submit diagnoses, medical records, birthdates, Social Security numbers, or detailed clinical histories through public forms or ordinary email. Clinical intake belongs in the secure client portal. A selected evaluation or other information you submit may itself reveal health-related information even without a detailed history.
3. Optional AI evaluation suggestions
If you use the optional AI suggestion tool, the general concerns and goals you enter are sent through Lovable AI Gateway to an external AI model to generate a suggestion. The practice’s website does not save those entries to its inquiry or payment records or email them to the practice. This does not mean no outside provider processes the text or retains technical logs.
Please omit names and identifying details. Suggestions are automated, may be inaccurate, and are not a diagnosis, clinical assessment, emergency service, or substitute for a clinician’s judgment. You may skip the tool and contact the practice instead.
4. How information is used and shared
The practice uses website information to respond to inquiries, coordinate requested services, process and reconcile evaluation payments, send payment-related messages, and maintain the website. Service providers involved include Lovable Cloud for hosting and website records, email delivery providers, Stripe for payments, SimplePractice for the separate client portal, and the AI services described above when you choose to use the tool.
Information may also be disclosed when legally required, to respond to valid legal process, or as permitted by applicable law to protect safety and prevent fraud. Clinical confidentiality and any restrictions on health-information disclosures require separate review; this policy does not waive those protections.
5. Cookies and technical information
Hosting, payment, portal, and AI services may process technical information such as an IP address, browser details, requests, and security logs. The website also places interaction events in a browser data layer; that alone does not establish that a third-party analytics service receives them. External services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.
6. Retention and security
Contact submissions and payment records remain in the website’s records unless removed through the practice’s authorized processes. No fixed deletion schedule is represented by this draft. Although security measures can reduce risk, no website, email service, or internet transmission is guaranteed secure. Use the client portal for clinical communication.
7. Requests concerning your information
You may contact the practice to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information submitted through this website. The practice may need to verify your identity. Whether a request can be granted depends on applicable law and any recordkeeping obligations. Rights concerning clinical records should be addressed through the practice’s clinical privacy process.
8. Children and external services
Parents and legally authorized guardians should contact the practice about services for minors. Children under 13 should not submit information through public website forms or the AI tool. This website does not replace required parental consent, guardianship verification, or age-appropriate clinical privacy procedures.
Links to SimplePractice, Stripe, and other external websites lead to services with their own privacy terms. Review their policies before submitting information.
9. Updates and contact
After approval, revisions should show a new effective date and any additional notice required by law. This draft is not yet the practice’s final adopted policy.
